EPA appears to be targeting three air toxics of concern -- acrolein, carbonyls and naphthalene -- for further research on their health effects, which could potentially help inform the future of the agency's air toxics program as its Clean Air Act Advisory Committee (CAAAC) weighs which toxics EPA should target in future regulations.
