States' Risk-Benefit Fish Consumption Model Shows Greater Risk Than FDA

A recently updated model developed by toxicologists with state agencies in Connecticut and Minnesota that attempts to assess the risks of potential mercury exposure and benefits of consuming omega 3 oils in seafood indicates a greater risk from mercury than a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) model published last summer to support draft fish consumption advice issued by EPA and FDA.
