NAS Members Urge EPA To Drop Plan For First-Time Rule On Biotech Crops

A group of National Academy of Sciences (NAS) members is calling on EPA to scrap a pending first-time proposed rule to strengthen risk reporting and other requirement for regulation of genetically modified crops, saying such measures are not based on scientific evidence, provide no further health protections and could stifle innovation.
