Congress Poised To Block Handful Of EPA Policies, Cut FY12 Budget
Congress appears poised to approve an omnibus spending bill for the rest of fiscal year 2012 that permanently strips EPA of its air permitting authority in Arctic waters, cuts spending on key water and greenhouse gas (GHG) programs and generally cuts the agency's overall spending -- by $233 million -- compared to its FY11 budget.
