EPA Proposal To Tighten PM2.5 NAAQS Rejects Bid To Keep Existing Limit
EPA is proposing to tighten its annual fine particulate matter (PM2.5) national ambient air quality standard (NAAQS) in line with calls from its staff and scientific advisers, but rejected an 11th-hour industry and GOP request to float retaining the existing PM2.5 limit due to their concerns about the adverse economic impacts of a stricter limit.
