Energy Standards Board Poised To Release Plan For Expanded Smart Grid

A subcommittee of the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) this week will release for public comment a proposed standard to encourage the expanded useability of information made available through smart grid technologies for retail and wholesale electricity markets, a standard that is considered crucial for the White House and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in pushing smart grid investments, according to NAESB officials.
