NARUC Urges Federal Court To Lift Stay In Cases Over DOE Yucca License

State utility regulators are calling on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to lift its stay on several cases before the court challenging DOE's legal authority to terminate the contentious Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository program. The regulators are seeking an expedited briefing of the cases, which are at the heart of a major fight over the future of U.S. nuclear energy policy.
