EPA Refinery Air Rules' Methane Cuts May End Need For Sector GHG Policy

EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy says that expected refinery “co-benefit” reductions of the greenhouse gas (GHG) methane under the agency's proposed revised air toxics rules for the sector could capture enough GHGs to end the need to develop long-delayed GHG new source performance standards (NSPS) for refineries.
