House legislation to overhaul parts of EPA's coal ash disposal rule cleared the energy panel April 15 after lawmakers backing the ball said they amended it to include “compromises” based on the agency's request for changes to the bill, including more-stringent reporting requirements and mandates for corrective actions in the event of ash facility leaks.
