OMB Advances Controversial EPA Guide For Radiological Emergencies

The Obama administration appears to be moving forward with highly controversial drinking water amendments to EPA's protective action guides (PAGs) for radiological emergencies, despite attempts from a host of environmental groups to stop the amendments. The White House Office of Management & Budget (OMB) approved the amendments addressing drinking water standards for radiological incidents after the agency made revisions to them during the course of interagency review, according to OMB.
