Industry and environmentalists are sparring over EPA's proposed rule to restrict the use of a group of 15 chemicals largely used in soaps and detergents, with industry arguing that some are in active use and cannot be restricted while environmentalists are calling on the agency to find other ways to address the chemicals or otherwise expand its actions.
