EPA TO ADDRESS PM2.5 'HOT SPOTS' IN TRANSPORTATION CONFORMITY RULES

EPA will amend its transportation conformity plans for the agency's fine particulate matter (PM2.5) standards after acknowledging in a legal settlement with activists that the plans fail to address localized concentrations of PM2.5 known as "hot spots."
