NEW BILL WOULD PROVIDE MAJOR FEDERAL FUNDING FOR DIESEL RETROFITS

A bipartisan group of senators is introducing unprecedented legislation that would authorize hundreds of millions of federal dollars to clean up diesel engines already on the road. The bill comes amid increasing pressure from industry and states for a voluntary diesel retrofit program to help meet federal pollution standards. Sen.
