OMB SAYS EPA AIR RULES PROVIDE LION'S SHARE OF REGULATORY BENEFITS

A White House report has confirmed findings from previous years that EPA air regulations contribute the majority of federal regulatory benefits, but also prompt significant costs. The report, unveiled by the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), finds that EPA controls on fine particulate matter (PM2.5) account for most of the social benefits of regulations across the entire federal government, although the report cautions that the extent of the benefits from these air pollution rules is very uncertain...
