Briefing to begin soon in Supreme Court case over EPA GHG authority

Opening briefs from Republican-led states and coal producers in Supreme Court litigation over EPA’s authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions are due Dec. 13, kicking off briefing in high-stakes litigation that will shape the agency’s planned rule for existing power plants. Next week’s deadline will be followed by a Dec. 20 due date for amicus briefs from groups supporting the plaintiffs.
