Climate Dispatch: IPPC meets amid G-20 wrangling over coal

The United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will meet this week to develop its sixth and perhaps most comprehensive report on the latest science regarding climate change, as economic leaders of the G-20 concluded a gathering last week and issued a “communique” signaling doubts about phasing out the use of coal.
