EPA proposes sweeping revisions to GHG Reporting Rule

EPA is proposing a broad update to its Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule (GHGRP), seeking to better account for new emissions sources and improve existing analysis and verification given officials’ understanding of recent industry trends in several sectors. GHGRP collects GHG emissions data from large facilities, suppliers of fossil fuels and industrial gases, as well as facilities that inject carbon into the ground, with the goal of quantifying those emissions.
