House panel queries oil and gas producers on methane emissions

The House science committee is pressing 10 oil and gas producers to detail their methane emissions and leak detection and repair (LDAR) programs, in a bid to determine if “additional policies and research” are needed to support a “stronger federal role” in monitoring and quantifying methane pollution.
