Senate clears Biden FERC pick amid key climate policy debates

The Senate has confirmed Willie Phillips to fill the empty seat on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), handing Democrats a 3-2 majority on the commission that could play an important role in President Joe Biden’s push toward a net-zero emissions energy sector by 2035.
