Treasury pitches ending export financing for ‘unabated’ coal plants

The Treasury Department is joining an international proposal to halt financing for “unabated” coal power plants abroad, implementing the department’s recent commitment on the issue and building on the Biden administration’s push for other major countries to take a similar stance.
