Carper Seeks Tough EPA Rules To End Gas-Powered Vehicles By 2035

Senate environment committee Chairman Tom Carper (D-DE) is backing calls from environmentalists and states urging EPA to issue greenhouse gas standards stringent enough to phase out gas-powered vehicles by 2035, while pressing officials to model such rules on its current “Tier 3” air rules for cars and light trucks.
