DOE Finalizes Lightbulb Efficiency Rules, Sunsetting Older Technology

The Department of Energy (DOE) is finalizing long-awaited rules implementing stricter energy efficiency standards for lightbulbs, kicking off a process that will bar imports and sales of older incandescent bulbs over the course of the next year, in favor of more efficient LED technology.
