DOT Revises Highway Funding Guide Cited As Too Prescriptive On GHGs

The Transportation Department in response to Capitol Hill criticism has replaced its policy that sought to “encourage” states to use infrastructure law funds for road maintenance and climate-friendly projects in lieu of new highways, issuing a new memo saying states are “ultimately responsible” for prioritizing use of the law’s funding.
