EPA Official Sees No ‘Immediate’ Plans To Accelerate HFC Phasedown

An EPA official is acknowledging a bipartisan statute approved late last year to significantly phase down production and imports of climate-warming hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) could allow the agency to accelerate the schedule for limiting the chemicals, but says EPA has no current plans to do so.
