EPA is proposing to approve use of canola oil as feedstock for the manufacture of low-carbon fuels qualified to earn credit under the renewable fuel standard (RFS), in a plan that would create “pathways” for renewable diesel, jet fuel, naphtha and liquid propane gas made from canola, boosting biofuel makers’ options to produce RFS-qualified fuel.
