A federal court appears poised to pause litigation by the landfill industry against EPA’s recent updates to greenhouse gas reporting rules for the sector, after the agency filed an unopposed motion to do so because of officials’ decision to formally reconsider the rule’s default estimates about the efficiency of emissions controls at the facilities.
