FERC Launches Grid Transmission Rule To Integrate More Clean Energy

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is launching a rulemaking to ease the process for siting and paying for power transmission lines in order to encourage greater wind and solar generation on the grid, even though Republican members of the panel are raising concerns about costs and legal authority.
