Final EV Charging Rule Retains Uptime Requirement, Adds Flexibilities

The Biden administration has finalized standards for federally funded electric vehicle (EV) charging stations with some additional flexibility compared to the proposed version, including the option to fund some lower-powered equipment and easing some 24-hour accessibility rules, though it is retaining a 97 percent uptime requirement.
