Industry Charges EPA Unlawfully Targets HFC Blends, Single-Use Canisters

Refrigerant makers and contractors are arguing in new appellate court briefs that parts of EPA’s rule to implement a congressionally mandated phasedown of the potent greenhouse gas hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) are unlawful, including the rule’s provisions addressing HFC “blends” and its bar on single-use canisters intended to combat illegal imports.
