Newsom Signs Bill Delaying GHG, Climate Disclosure Rules By Six Months

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has signed into law a bill delaying by six months -- until next July -- the deadline for California air regulators to adopt rules implementing a 2023 statute requiring large companies to disclose all their greenhouse gas emissions, and also easing a separate law requiring disclosure of climate-related financial risks.
