California lawmakers seek RFS credit for biomass electricity

A bipartisan group of California lawmakers is pressing EPA to grant credit under the renewable fuel standard (RFS) for electricity generated from biomass power, a step the agency has long contemplated but never widely implemented, even after it recently declared biomass a carbon-neutral source of power.
