DOE adopts Forest Service’s NEPA exclusions

The Department of Energy (DOE) is adopting seven categorical exclusions (CE) under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) from the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) for activities DOE says also apply to its actions, the latest in a series of such measures where agencies adopt others’ CEs as allowed by 2023 congressional amendments to the law.
