DOJ asks court to appoint interim manager for Jackson water crisis

The Justice Department (DOJ), on behalf of EPA, is asking a federal court to take the unusual step of appointing an Interim Third Party Manager (ITPM) to help stabilize the Jackson, MS’ public drinking water system, an action the city and the Mississippi State Department of Public Health (MSDH) have agreed to.
