Eastern states plan CPP repeal hearings

Officials in three East Coast states are hosting their own hearings on EPA's plan to repeal the Clean Power Plan (CPP) utility greenhouse gas rule, after the agency last month announced plans for three additional “listening sessions” in Western states on the proposal. Unlike a formal public hearing, EPA's sessions will not extend the Jan. 16 deadline to comment on the repeal measure.
