Environmentalists ‘turn up the heat’ on fossil fuel divestment

Environmentalists are launching a new effort pushing the finance sector to stop investing in fossil fuels and deforestation, an effort dubbed the Stop the Money campaign that will combine and intensify existing initiatives targeting the “worst offenders in each part of the financial sector,” Sierra Club and 350.org said in a statement.
