EPA, biodiesel sector pause lawsuit, seeking RFS deal

EPA and biodiesel producers have agreed to pause litigation over the renewable fuel standard (RFS) in order to seek a deal over specific recordkeeping mandates related to food waste, in a case now severed from broader litigation against the agency’s RFS volumes rule for 2020, which is in abeyance after EPA in June retroactively cut volumes for that year.
