EPA plans to bolster personnel security program following OIG report

EPA will craft a plan for boosting the “capacity” of its personnel security operation, in response to an Office of Inspector General (OIG) report that found the program is largely meeting White House goals but lacks the staff needed to scale up from its current task of protecting about 1,100 employees to the agency’s full 22,000-person workforce by 2026.
