EPA reports long-term drop in TRI releases

EPA’s latest analysis of Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) data shows that total disposal and other releases of chemicals into the environment fell by 9 percent between 2007 and 2018, though total releases in the first two years of the Trump administration remain higher than the last two years of the Obama administration.
