EPA touts Chesapeake pollution decreases but concerns remain

The Chesapeake Bay Program is reporting continued decreases in nutrient and sediment pollution entering the bay, with the majority of decreases coming from the agriculture sector, a shift from previous reductions tied to wastewater treatment plant control, but environmentalists remain concerned it is not enough to meet 2025 cleanup targets for the bay.
