Judge approves $180 million EPA-Toyota emissions reporting settlement

A federal district court judge has approved a $180 million settlement between EPA and Toyota Motor Corp. to resolve the agency’s enforcement action alleging fraudulent emissions reporting by the company, as EPA shifts its vehicle air law litigation from targeting emissions “defeat devices” to violations of reporting mandates.
