OMB completes review of EPA lead-free labeling rule

The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has completed pre-publication review of a final EPA rule on the labeling of lead-free plumbing materials, a long-awaited effort to implement a 2011 law that made the definition of lead-free plumbing more stringent. OMB completed its review July 8 of the Use of Lead Free Pipes, Fittings, Fixtures, Solder and Flux for Drinking Water rule, according to the office’s website.
