States urged to adopt EPA's groundwater protection standard

A clean energy group is urging oil and gas producing states to adopt EPA's criteria for protecting groundwater from hydraulic fracturing after its study found that states' criteria are ambiguous and do not protect brackish groundwater to EPA standards, leaving these sources of water vulnerable to contamination.
