Toxics: EPA bans 72 inert ingredients from pesticides

EPA has banned the use of 72 inert chemicals as ingredients in pesticide formulations, acting in response to a decade-old petition from environmental and public health groups who asked the agency to label nearly 400 such ingredients on the packages, and later sued the agency for failing to act.
