ACC Presses For Bill To Regulate ‘Advanced’ Recycling As ‘Manufacturing’

The American Chemistry Council (ACC) is pressing lawmakers on Capitol Hill to introduce legislation to “clarify” the regulatory status of “advanced recycling,” and specifically to classify two related processes -- pyrolysis and gasification -- as “manufacturing,” rather than more strictly-regulated “incineration” as environmentalists seek.
