AMWA Urges EPA To Maintain Action Level In Upcoming SDWA Lead Rule

The Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA) is warning EPA that its plan to seek widespread replacements of lead service lines (LSLs) in its upcoming drinking water lead and copper rule improvements (LCRI) poses severe practical hurdles for utilities, in particular urging the agency not to tighten the “action level” where replacement becomes mandatory.
