AWWA Pushes EPA Water Monitoring Plan Revisions To Reduce Burden

Drinking water utilities are supporting EPA’s proposal to require monitoring for 29 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and lithium as part of an effort to determine whether new drinking water standards are necessary, but they are urging changes to reduce the plan’s burden on states and utilities without compromising data collection.
