Chamber Asks EPA To Drop PFAS When Adding ASTM Standard To AAI Rule

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is asking EPA to exclude per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from its brownfields due diligence rule, saying that even though EPA is seeking to incorporate into the rule a revised industry site assessment standard that includes PFAS, it is premature to do so because PFAS are not yet listed as Superfund “hazardous substances.” In April 13 comments , the Chamber adds to the adverse comments the agency has already received over its direct final rule...
