Democrats Defeat GOP Bid To Strip Expanded Superfund Taxes From Budget

House Ways & Means Committee Democrats have defeated a Republican amendment to strip expanded Superfund tax provisions from their budget reconciliation legislation, preserving language that would reinstate the expired fees on both a select group of chemicals as well as various petroleum products.
