DOD Eyes FY19 To Better Address PFAS Contamination, Cleanup Budgets

As the Defense Department (DOD) faces growing local pressure to remediate per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), a top official says fiscal year 2019 will be the earliest it can comprehensively budget for the cleanups even though DOD began initial testing and cleanup soon after EPA finalized health advisories for two PFASs in 2016.
