DOD Issues Guide For Removing AFFF From Fire Suppression Systems

A top Pentagon official has issued guidance detailing how the military services should remove PFAS-containing firefighting foam from their fire suppression systems even though the Defense Department (DOD) earlier this month invoked a waiver to extend by one year the mandate to meet an upcoming deadline to halt land-based use of the foam.
